WE ARE:

…A small ceramics production located in Westhampton, MA, wife-and-husband owned and operated since 2014. Tandem Ceramics specializes in slip-cast ceramic production and surface design. We formulate our clay and glazes in house and manufacture all production molds and masters in our 1000 square-foot studio located in the hilltowns of scenic Western Massachusetts. We are surrounded by a large arts community, plenty of entertainment and music, small family farms and lots of natural beauty. 

YOU ARE:

the position:

Our team is trained in every step of the ceramic process. Your weekly tasks will include slip-casting, glazing, loading/unloading kilns, packaging and shipping, and other various tasks of small-batch ceramic production. We will work alongside you most days, and other days you will be working solo. We are looking for someone that can both take direction well and manage daily tasks when working alone. Seeking both part-time and full-time positions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• minimum 2 years experience in clay

• able to lift 50 pounds

• work standing up for most of the day

• experience in mold making and/or slip casting a big plus
